Must Read Holiday Romcoms!

Updated: Dec 6, 2023

The holidays are the best time to get cozy with a steamy (or not so steamy) romance book! There are a lot to choose from, so I put together a list of my favorite twenty that should be at the very top of your TBR!

1. Back Home For Christmas by Amber Reed

“I have only ever been happy when I am near you,” he said.

Of course, no list Christmas list would be complete without my new steamy holiday romcom 🥰 Back Home for Christmas is an enemies to lovers, brother's best friend romance that I had so much fun writing!

Cat didn't want to come home for the holidays until she had enough success to rub in her gold child big brother's face, but when that plan fell through, she had no choice but to go home--Only to find her life long nemesis casually sipping coffee in her parent's kitchen. There was no way she would survive being back home for the holidays with Jay under the same roof!

2. Wreck the Halls by Tessa Bailey

“You’ll never leave my system, Mel. You’re one-half of it.”

Tessa Bailey is the queen of steamy romcoms. Wreck the Halls is her latest hit. This is a steamy second chance romance with instant charm and charisma between the couple. Beat and Mel are the children of rock royalty who are forced together to put on a Christmas Eve reunion concert. I love the cute holiday charm and steamy bedroom scenes.

3. Cabin Mate by Leah Brunner

This is an adorable closed-door fake dating, friends to lovers romance that is perfect for the holidays! He lost a bet with his older brother, so he can't date for four months. The only trouble is that the woman of his dreams finally became available, so he can only pretend to date her without hugging, kissing or falling in love. Can he make it through their stay in a romantic, snowed in cabin?

4. The Christmas Fix by Lucy Score

When I read the blurb of the Christmas Fix, I just had to pick it up and it didn't disappoint! There's only one thing standing in the way of Cat King saving a small town's Christmas festival: Grumpy town manager Noah Yates. This is grumpy/sunshine, single father steamy perfection!

5. The Christmas Wager by Holly Cassidy

I am an absolute sucker for enemies to lovers and The Christmas Wage hits the mark! A city girl and a small-town boy who compete in the town’s annual holiday games in order to win the right price for a charming, local Christmas shop, perfect for fans of The Hating Game and The Twelve Dates of Christmas.

6. You're a Mean One Matthew Prince by Timothy Janvosky

This book is so upbeat and cute that it is an instant holiday must read! t's bad enough spoiled Matthew Prince is stuck in some festive winter wonderland—it's even worse that he has to share space with Hector Martinez, an obnoxiously attractive local who's unimpressed with anything and everything Matthew does. Their banter is spot on and the romance is heart warming!

7. Snowed In by Catherine Walsh

This is another fake dating, stuck together for the holidays story that I just ate right up! When Megan literally bumps into Christian in a Dublin pub, they come up with a pact to see them through the holiday season. They’re going to be the very best fake dates for each other, ever.

8. Christmas in Coconut Creek by Karrissa Kinword

The cover on this book was an instant buy, which turned into a book I loved! When Colorado elementary school teacher Ophelia Brody decides to ditch her divorced family for a Christmas in the sunshine state with her college roommate, she doesn’t expect a mile high meet cute to tailspin the entire trip. This is high on the spice and fun!

9. Faking Christmas by Cindy Steel

Maybe you are starting to see a pattern, but I love enemies to lovers and fake dating! this is a sweet, closed door romp that kept me turning pages. One little white lie. That's all it took. Now I'm suddenly having to fake-date my work nemesis to get me through a week at a Vermont Christmas lodge with my family.

10. The Christmas Orphans Club by Becca Freeman

This is less of a romcom and more of a found family, but it is so cute, I had to keep it on the list! Four friends in NYC who hold onto their unconventional Christmas tradition even when their paths diverge—but the changes they fear might be exactly what they need…

Now go forth, cozy up, and get reading! Let me know which one is at the top of your list!
